There are so many calamities going on in the world today. Turn the TV on to any major new station and you will see headlines of natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and genocide. We, the Young Musicians Inspiring Change want to take a stand against these issues and try to make a positive change in the world.
About Us
Founded in 2010 and operating as a non-profit organization since 2013, the Young Musicians Inspiring Change (YMIC) consists of student musicians with a shared passion for making positive changes in their communities through music. YMIC hosts several Benefit Concerts annually and donates the proceeds to many charitable organizations.
Our Mission
Our mission is to leverage the power of music to bring joy and unity across diverse communities. The cornerstone of our philosophy is the recognition of music as an influential medium capable of bringing people together and significantly improving the quality of their lives. This philosophy fuels our commitment and ambition to make a positive impact through our work. As a group, we organize periodic concerts as a fundraising initiative to support various causes and charities.
Our Achievement
YMIC has donated the money we generated to different charitable organizations, including Charity Water, Manna Food Bank, Global Children Foundation, KEEN Greater DC, UNICEF, American Childhood Cancer Organization, UN World Food Program, and many other local organizations.
